Chemical Name: Boldenone undecylenate Boldenone undecylenate is an anabolic steroid that was initially developed for veterinary use, mostly for treatment of horses. The activity of boldenone undecylenate is mainly anabolic, with a low androgenic tendency. Boldenone undecylenate increases nitrogen retention, protein synthesis, increases appetite and enhances the stimulation of the release of erythropoietin in the kidneys. It has a very long half-life, and can show positive results on a steroid test for up to 1.5 years. This is because of the long undecylenate ester attached to the parent steroid Boldenone. Trace amounts of the drug can easily be detected in the body for months after it has been discontinued. Boldenone undecylenate lacks progesterone receptor interaction and thus has all the associated progestinic side effects. A double bond was added between carbon atoms 1 and 2 of Steran Nucleus of Testosterone when an attempt was being made to produce Boldenone undecylenate. Thus a simple modification in testosterone molecule produced Boldenone which then is esterified to make Boldenone undecylenate. Boldenone undecylenate is an anabolic steroid as testosterone, almost equivalent as per the anabolic rating. But it is half as androgenic as testosterone. The 1-2 double bond in Boldenone undecylenate is responsible for many of its characteristics. First and foremost, it acts to slow aromatization (conversion into estrogen). The best estimate is that it does so at roughly half the rate of testosterone. So far no estrogenic side effects have been reported from the athletes or bodybuilders who have administered considerable dosage of Boldenone undecylenate. Thus side effects caused by estrogen that include oily skin, acne, and gynocomastia, are usually not found from Boldenone undecylenate. Virilization (development of male sexual characteristics in women) has also not been reported with this compound, when reasonable doses were used by female athletes. This qualifies it as one of the few injectable compounds which could be successfully used by female athletes and bodybuilders. That double bond is also responsible for Boldenone undecylenate resistance for being changed by the 5- 5-Alpha-reductase enzyme. This enzyme has a tendency to convert a small amount of Boldenone into Dihydroboldenone, which is a very potent androgen (7 times as anabolic as testosterone). But this conversion is of very small quality making its impact insignificant. This fact, along with its low aromatization rate, means athletes don't require any supplementary with Boldenone undecylenate. Athletes or bodybuilders taking Boldenone undecylenate have reported a slow and consisten buildup of quality muscle. This slow buildup of muscle is basically due to the very long ester attached to the Boldenone. Undeclynate is a longer ester than the decanoate ester by one carbon thus making a significant difference in its functioning. Hence, we can expect the accumulation of muscle from Boldenone undecylenate to actually occur at a slightly slower rate. One of the most significant effects in administration of Boldenone undecylenate is its ability to raise your RBCs (red blood corpuscles). This is a very typical state of anabolic steroids; however, Boldenone undecylenate does it to a slightly higher degree than most. One of the other highlighted effects most Boldenone undecylenate users report is an increased appetite. It is because of this ability of Boldenone undecylenate to increase appetite that many athletes and bodybuilders include Boldenone undecylenate in a mass cycle.
